I wouldn't blame Moyes too much if we play this one defensively, but ONLY if it's to shore up our confidence for playing more expansively against teams like Stoke in the NEAR future.

For me, though, the NEAR future should be in less than a couple of hours time.

I sense a win here. We've seen that the team can now be stingy in defence against big sides as underdogs, but today is that day they have to show they can bring it in attack to a team we expect to take points from.

On paper a nailed-on draw, maybe a scoreless one at that.

Having said that, 4-0 or 0-4 wouldn't really surprise me either! You just know that cunt Hughes is at it in the dressing-room with newspaper headlines on the white-board saying stuff like 'Arnie- I left because West Ham are a bigger, better club with better players...'

Whoever is captain had better get at the ref to protect Arnie because he's getting kicked to fuck this afternoon. Can easily seeing either him or one of theirs getting red-carded.

This in a way is more important than the last 3 games because this calls for a bit of backbone- something we've lacked for ages now. I'd like to see Carroll on as an impact sub. Emphasis on the word 'impact'.
